In June 2022, we reached a historic milestone of rescuing 30 million pounds of food since we began our operations in 1999.

In honor of this milestone, we received official commendations from the Mayor and Council of the City & County of Honolulu and the Governor of Hawaiʻi. See more details on our Mahalo page.

We also launched an ambitious fundraising campaign to raise $30,000 in 30 days to kickstart a future capital campaign for a Food Resiliency Hub and to maintain our momentum from doubling our operating capacity since the pandemic. We are blown away by the support we received, seeing our community step up to the challenge of helping us raise $30,000 in 30 days by June 30th. We raised a total of $27,510, just shy of our goal but nevertheless awe-inspiring. We are eternally grateful for all the contributions.

Community-backed Fundraisers

• Kau Kau Box

When you purchase a Kau Kau Box, Aloha Harvest will receive 10% of the proceeds! Kau Kau Boxes provide fresh, wholesome food for Oahu’s community members who don’t have access to transportation and are working to make ends meet.

Kau Kau Box collaborates with Chef Thomas Naylor, founder of Ke Nui Kitchen. In addition to chef-prepared meals, the boxes feature a variety of produce, meats, and fish that are locally sourced in an effort to support Hawai`i-owned businesses. The boxes are delivered to your door by Hawai`i’s seasoned hospitality professionals, all of whom are equipped with PPE. They’re also required to use sanitizer spray to wipe down the boxes and delivery vehicles.

*Note: If you enter the Kau Kau Box website directly rather than entering through the yellow widget button above, the purchase will not be tracked to Aloha Harvest and we will not receive 10%.
